Payouts: which orders are in each bank transfer
Stripe and Mollie pay your ticket sales out to your bank account in batches. On your statement a payout is one line and one amount. Orders → Payouts shows what is inside it: which payments, refunds and fees add up to that amount, and which Cleartix order each payment belongs to. That is what your treasurer or accountant needs to tick the bank line off against the sales.
Payouts are visible to organisation owners (they are bank-level data). Nothing is stored in Cleartix: the page reads your payouts live from your connected Stripe or Mollie account.
The payouts list
Open Payouts in the sidebar (or View payouts next to Stripe or Mollie under Settings → Payment providers). You see every payout, newest first, with:
- the payout date, the day the money reached (or will reach) your account;
- the bank reference: for Stripe the statement descriptor, for Mollie the settlement reference exactly as it appears on your statement;
- the status: paid out, on its way, pending, failed;
- the amount.
If both Stripe and Mollie are connected, switch between them with the tabs above the list. Older payouts at the bottom loads the next page.
Filter by period
Pick a start and end date (Paid out from … to) and Show to list every payout that reached your account in that period, for example last month for the monthly bookkeeping. The filter covers at most one year and the first 200 payouts of a period; narrow the range if you have more.
Inside a payout
Click a payout row (or its arrow) to unfold it right in the list: the reconciliation line, the totals and every line of the payout appear under the row, and a second click folds it away again. You can keep several payouts open at once. Details opens the same breakdown on its own page, handy to share a link or to export just that payout.
At the top of the breakdown you see the reconciliation line: the lines add up to the payout amount or, if they do not, the difference. The totals give the number of payments and refunds, the gross amounts, the fees withheld and the net.
Each line in the table is one movement in the payout:
- Payment: a buyer paid an order. The line shows the Cleartix order number, the buyer and the event (or class pack, or Shop order), the payment method, the gross amount, the fee and the net. Click the order number to open the order.
- Refund: money sent back to a buyer, linked to the order it was refunded on (see Refunds & cancellations).
- Chargeback: a payment the buyer's bank reversed, linked to its order.
- Fee: the provider's own costs.
- Adjustment: a correction by the provider, for example a failed refund that came back.
How fees appear
Stripe deducts its fee from every payment: the fee column on a payment line is the Stripe fee for that payment, and the Cleartix platform fee is part of that amount (the totals show how much of the fees was Cleartix's).
Mollie bills its costs per payment method per calendar month. A Mollie payout therefore shows the payments at their full amount, and separate fee lines (one per method per month, VAT included) for exactly what Mollie withheld from the payout.
Lines without an order
A payment, refund or chargeback that Cleartix cannot link to an order is highlighted, with the provider's description and payment id instead of an order. This happens for payments you took outside Cleartix on the same Stripe or Mollie account, or payments made before the organisation was connected. They still count towards the payout total, so the statement still reconciles.
Export for your bookkeeping
With a period filtered, Export … payouts (CSV) next to the filter downloads one file with every detail line of every payout in that period: the payout id, reference, date and amount on each row, then the line type, date, method, order number, buyer, event, gross, fee, Cleartix fee, net and the Stripe or Mollie ids, with a total row after each payout. That is the file to hand to your accountant for the month or quarter.
Export CSV on a single payout's detail page downloads the same layout for that payout only. Columns are separated by semicolons, so the files open correctly in Excel in Dutch and French locales.
Cleartix cannot read your payouts?
If the page says Cleartix is not allowed to read the payouts of your account, the connection was made before Cleartix asked for that permission. Disconnect and reconnect the provider under Settings → Payment providers; the new connection includes read access to payouts (Stripe) or settlements (Mollie).
