Selling timeslots (timeslot booking)
With timeslot booking your customers pick a timeslot within your event — perfect for mini-shoots, guided tours or tastings. Every order belongs to exactly one timeslot, and each slot has its own capacity in bookings (not tickets). Available on every plan, including free.
Enabling it
- Open your event and go to Date & time.
- Tick Timeslot booking.
- Add timeslots, or use Generate timeslots… to create a series: pick a date range, start and end time, slot duration and the number of bookings per slot.
Leave a slot's capacity empty and it can be booked without limit.
Tip: for a mini-shoot set "Bookings per slot" to 1 — one family or client per slot, regardless of how many tickets the order contains.
How customers book
On your event page the customer first picks a timeslot (full or already started slots are disabled), then their tickets. This also works in the embedded checkout on your own website. The chosen slot appears on the payment page, in the confirmation email (with a calendar invite), on the ticket and in the wallet pass.
Moving a booking
Go to Orders → open the order → Timeslot, pick a new slot and click Move booking. The tickets are regenerated and the customer automatically receives an updated confirmation. The old slot becomes available again. See also Managing orders.
Scanning
The scanner rejects tickets that belong to a different timeslot. Pick the active timeslot in the scanner (or let the app select it automatically). See Scanning and check-in.
Refunds and cancellations
On a full refund or an expired/cancelled order the timeslot automatically becomes available again. A partial refund (some tickets) keeps the booking.
Good to know: POS door sales can optionally be linked to a slot — walk-ins can also go without one. Exports and the API show the booked slot on every order.
