Your shop page

Besides selling products as event extras, your catalogue can be sold on its own page: your-org.cleartix.io/shop (or /shop on your custom domain). Buyers fill a cart with several products, pay once and receive a confirmation with their downloads and delivery details — no event or ticket involved.

1. Open the shop

Go to Shop → Shop settings and tick Shop open for buyers. The page shows the shop address with a copy button; your event listing gets a Shop button as soon as the shop is open and has at least one active product. Switch the setting off to close the shop at any time — products stay available as event extras.

Before opening, make sure:

  • at least one product is active (digital products need their file);
  • a payment method is connected: Stripe, Mollie or bank transfer (Settings → Payments);
  • for shipped products, at least one shipping method is active.

The settings page warns you when something is missing.

2. Texts and policy

On the same page you can set, per language:

  • Intro text — shown at the top of the shop page.
  • Shipping & returns policy — shown at checkout when a physical product is in the cart: delivery times, return conditions, who pays return shipping. Consumer law requires this information before the purchase.
  • Digital content consent text — the checkbox a buyer ticks before buying a download. Leave it empty to use the standard wording (the buyer agrees that the download becomes available immediately and waives the 14-day right of withdrawal).
  • Ship-from address — your sender address for packing slips.
  • Header image — a wide picture (about 3:1, JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF, max 5 MB) at the top of the shop page. Without one, the banner from your branding is used.

3. What the buyer goes through

  1. Browse — the shop page lists every active product with image, description, price (VAT included) and a Only N left hint when fewer than five units remain; sold-out products stay visible but cannot be added. Each product has its own product page with the full description, delivery info (Download — available right after payment, Shipped or collected — you choose at checkout, Collect only), availability, a quantity picker and Add to cart.
  2. Cart — adding a product shows an Added to cart toast; a floating Cart button with an item-count badge opens the cart drawer: quantities per product (limited by stock and max per order), remove, subtotal and the Checkout button. The cart is remembered on the buyer's device, so a cancelled payment or a closed tab does not empty it. Whenever the drawer opens and again at checkout, the cart is re-checked against your live catalogue: a per-line notice says Price changed (the new price is applied), Sold out (the line must be removed before checkout), Only N left or Maximum N per order (the quantity is reduced).
  3. Checkout in three steps — a stepper at the top shows Details → Delivery → Overview; a finished step stays clickable to go back and edit.
    • Details — name and e-mail, optionally business details with a VAT number (checked against VIES; an EU business outside your country pays without VAT).
    • Delivery — when a shipped product is in the cart: the delivery options (only the methods that serve the buyer's country, pickup points always, with delivery estimate and free above …) and, for a carrier, the shipping address; your Shipping & returns policy is shown here. When a download is in the cart: the consent checkbox for the 14-day withdrawal waiver. A business buyer who enters a shipping address gets a Billing address same as shipping address checkbox. When nothing ships and nothing is digital, the step is skipped and shown as Not needed.
    • Overview — Check your order: the lines, shipping, VAT per rate and the total, the payment method (Pay online or Bank transfer, when you offer both), the privacy-policy checkbox and Place order (Confirm order for a cart that costs nothing).
  4. Payment — online via your Stripe or Mollie account, or bank transfer when enabled (the order is confirmed once you mark it paid).
  5. Confirmation — Order confirmed! with the lines, a button View your order and downloads and a What's next? block: for shipping we'll e-mail you as soon as your order ships plus the expected delivery, for a pickup point where to collect, for collect-only products that you will let them know, for downloads that they are ready on the order page. The confirmation e-mail repeats the lines, the delivery details, the pickup instructions and your shipping & returns policy.

Prices are always recalculated on the server; the buyer can never pay a price that differs from your catalogue. Shipping VAT follows the highest VAT rate of the physical products in the order, and shipping is free above the method's threshold.

4. The order page and downloads

Every shop order has its own page, linked from the confirmation e-mail and from Find your tickets and orders. At the top a three-step status bar — Ordered → Paid → Shipped (or Collected for a pickup, Available for a digital-only order) — shows the dates reached so far; a banner explains a pending (we're waiting for your payment), cancelled, refunded or partially refunded order. Below it: the carrier and tracking code once shipped, the products, the delivery method and address, the totals with VAT, and — for digital products — Download buttons that keep working for as long as the product's file exists. Downloads only work for a paid order; a refunded order loses access.

5. Shop orders in the dashboard

Shop orders appear under Orders next to your ticket orders, labelled Shop order; the Kind filter (All kinds / Event / Class pack / Shop) shows only them. The order page shows the products, the chosen delivery method, the shipping address and when the buyer accepted the download terms. You receive the usual new sale notification and an order.created webhook. Refund the whole order or single product lines and the shipping cost from the order page; returned stock can go back into the catalogue.

Shipping itself — the worklist, packing slips, marking orders shipped with a tracking code and the "your parcel is on its way" e-mail — is described in Shipping and handing over orders.

6. Fees

Each shop order counts as one ticket sale for your plan's platform fee, whatever the number of products in it.
