Create ticket types

Ticket types are the things people actually buy — General, Early bird, VIP, and so on. You can add as many as you need.

1. Open the ticket types screen

Go to Events → (event) → Ticket types and add a new type.

2. Set the details

Each ticket type has:

  • Name and an optional description.
  • Price.
  • Capacity (optional) — leave empty for unlimited.
  • Max per order (optional) — caps how many of this type one customer can buy.
  • Sales window — a start and end date; the type is only buyable inside it.
  • VAT rate override (optional) — otherwise your organization's default VAT rate applies.

3. Order them

Drag your ticket types to reorder them. The order here controls how they appear on your public event page, so put your headline ticket first.

4. Choose visibility and form behaviour

  • Visibility — a hidden type doesn't show on the public page and is only sold via an access code. See Hidden tickets & access codes.
  • Attendee form — choose whether the form is collected once per order or once per ticket. See Attendee forms.

Tip: Use a sales window to run an Early bird type that closes automatically on a set date — no need to remember to switch it off yourself.
