Sponsors and ads on your tickets
The top of a PDF ticket holds what the door needs: the event details, the ticket type, the name and the QR code. The bottom third of the page is yours. Use it to thank your sponsors, advertise your next event, share a discount code for the bar, or anything else you want every ticket holder to see.
Ticket layout is part of the Studio and Pro plans. On the Free plan you see the settings with an upgrade button; if you move back to Free later, your layout is kept but no longer printed on new tickets.
Set a default for your organisation
- Open Branding in the dashboard and scroll to Ticket layout.
- Write your content in the editor: headings, text, bold/italic, lists, links and images.
- Click Preview PDF to see a sample ticket with your content in place.
- Click Save.
Every event uses this default unless you change it for that event.
Change it for one event
Open the event and go to Tickets → Ticket layout. Choose one of:
- Organisation default — the content from Branding (the standard choice).
- Custom for this event — your own content, for example this event's sponsors or an ad for next year's edition. Preview PDF shows it on a ticket with this event's real title, date and location.
- Nothing — no extra content on this event's tickets, even when your organisation has a default.
Click Save. If you switch back to the default later, the event's own content is kept, so you can switch back again without retyping it.
Good to know
- The space is fixed. The area is the bottom third of the A4 page, about 18 × 8 cm. Anything that doesn't fit is cut off, so always check with Preview PDF.
- Images: upload them in the editor (drag and drop works too). They are converted to PNG/JPEG for the PDF. Choose small, medium or full width and left, centre or right alignment. Images from other websites (pasted links) are not shown on tickets.
- A row of sponsor logos? The editor places images one below the other. To show several logos side by side, put them together in one image (in Canva, for example) and upload that.
- Languages: add a version for each language you sell in. Buyers get the language they ordered in. If that language is missing, another one is used.
- Already-sent tickets don't change. Your content applies to tickets generated after you save. Tickets that were already delivered stay as they were.
- Links work when the ticket is opened as a PDF on a phone or computer. On paper only the text is visible, so write out short addresses (for example
cleartix.eu/summerfest).
Via the API or an AI assistant
The same settings are available in the organiser API (GET/PUT /api/v1/ticket-layout for the default, GET/PUT /api/v1/events/{id}/ticket-layout per event) and to your AI assistant (get_ticket_layout, set_ticket_layout, get_event_ticket_layout, set_event_ticket_layout). Ask it, for example: "Put our three sponsors on the tickets for the summer festival."
