Shipping methods
Shipping methods tell Cleartix how a physical product can be delivered and what that costs. Set them up under Shop → Shipping before you offer a product that is shipped rather than collected.
1. Create a method
Each method has:
- Name per language — what the buyer sees, e.g. bpost standard.
- Price — VAT-inclusive; VAT on shipping follows the highest rate of the physical products in the order.
- Free from (optional) — order amount from which this method is free.
- Countries — ISO codes such as
BE, NL, FR; leave empty to serve every country. Buyers only see methods that serve their country. - Delivery estimate per language (optional), e.g. 2 to 4 working days.
- Instructions per language (optional) — shown to the buyer in the confirmation.
- Active — switch off a method without deleting it.
2. Pickup points
Tick Pickup point for a free collection option, for example your office or the venue. The price fields disappear and the instructions tell the buyer where and when to collect.
3. What buyers see
When a shipped product is in the basket, the checkout asks for a delivery address and lets the buyer pick one of the methods that serve their country. Without an active method for that country the checkout stops with a clear message, so keep at least one broad method active. The Shop → Shipping page warns you with a banner when active products are marked Needs shipping while no carrier method exists.
4. Changing a method
Edits apply to new orders only; an order keeps the price it was placed with.
