Scanning and check-in
Once you're signed in, checking people in is fast: point the camera at a ticket and read the result.
1. Pick the event
Choose the event you're working the door for. The scanner loads that event's tickets so it can validate them — including offline. See Offline scanning.
2. Choose a gate and timeslot
Optionally pick a gate (the entry point you're staffing, like "Main entrance" or "VIP entry"). For a multi-day event, also pick the active timeslot — the day or session you're checking in for. See Gates and Multi-day events and timeslots.
3. Scan the ticket
Point the camera at the QR code on the visitor's ticket — either the ticket PDF or their wallet pass. The result appears immediately:
- ✓ Checked in — valid, the visitor is in.
- ✗ Already checked in — this ticket was already used.
- ✗ Ticket not found — the ticket is invalid or belongs to a different event.
Every scan is logged
Each scan is recorded with the gate, the staff member and a timestamp, giving you a full check-in log. That's how you can tell who let someone in, when, and at which door — useful for resolving disputes or counting arrivals after the fact.
Tip: Keep an eye on arrivals as they happen on the live check-in dashboard, so you can spot a busy gate and move staff where they're needed.
Extras vouchers
When an order contains add-ons, the buyer also receives an extras voucher with its own QR code. Scan it exactly like a ticket: the scanner opens the extras screen, where you mark each line as handed out (with undo). Regular ticket scans show the order's extras as a read-only hint, so the entrance can tell visitors where to collect them. Voucher actions work offline and sync like check-ins.
